The Armor

The Armor is a theatrical costume created for the character Richard III in a stage production of a Shakespeare play. The costume is made from recycled and disused materials. Metal lines are sewn onto a twill jacket, while overlapping leather gaiters form a separate structure joined by leather straps and buckles. A chainmail glove closes the sleeve, and a velvet hat lined with metal strips serves as a helmet. The six parts can be added or removed as the character changes during the play. The whole experience is extended by a professional layer of information, accessed at the terminals via a unique haptic interface.

Pop Up Magazine

The project was a journey to explore the Escape issues (theme for 2019) abstractly and fluidly, showing the changes, new things and consequences from that. All the visuals are clean and comfortable to watch, contrasting with the uncomfortable reality from the act of escape. The design is constantly changing and the morphing shapes in the animation represent the act of readaptation, caused by some sort of situation. Escape has different meanings, interpretations and the point of view varies from playful to serious.
