Heshengzhao Bo Yuege
Heshengzhao Bo Yuege is a wedding space designed to present a traditional Chinese wedding as a staged opera. The design occupies a blank exhibition hall of nearly 2000 square meters, with a main stage 48 meters long and an ultra wide screen 7 meters high and 28 meters long. The setting depicts an imagined palace in the clouds, with a dragon shaped archway, red pillars and layered cornices. Three dimensional carved foam sculpture and traditional wooden mortise and tenon construction were used. Each part of the ceremony follows a poem written for the couple.
Heshengzhao Bo Yuege Wedding Space by Wei Zhang has been selected as an exceptional example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Heshengzhao Bo Yuege Wedding Space received the Bronze A' Design Award in Performing Arts, Stage, Style and Scenery Design in 2024.
